How the heck do you know if a player is good value? There's no historic data and all seems very volatile.
Stuck a small amount in last week along with the FI forum horde and wasn't sure about it. Have since done a couple of tourneys and am slightly hooked 🤓
But struggling to work out optimum route to buy....packs...or market.
Personally think you have more control buying from market and more opportunity to make money and obviously purchase players you actually want.
Buying packs can offer value but it's random who you get more a mixture of good and poor players so more of a gamble but you have spare cash to throw around.
Cheers interesting the time you buy, but almost identical strategy to myself using low buy orders and high sell orders.
I'm currently trying to double my money on all transactions which is ambitious but markets so volatile anything is possible, but will try and keep a small investment in the product for long haul hoping for big profit.
Prices seem to go up after a tournament ends and then slowly drop. This seems to be because people are listing their players high, then take them off market if they don't sell, to reuse them. It is also tricky because it is 'last card sell' price, so doesn't effectively price them. This is the bit I am having most problems with.
Thanks for the comments and starting to see the cycles already. I have started buying on the market but more with a view on those who will have value when real footy returns. These virtual tournies are ok for a bit of fun but West Ham top the league and Liverpool haven't won a game that I've seen....the virtual algorithm must have over factored in their 3-0 hammering at Vicarage road. It feels a bit like FI where the media only game is going to flip back towards the pb element when footy returns. Expect that some card values are going to tank - save for the fact that virtual footy will remain.
